Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy explains what data ConvertForever does and does not handle when you use our tools, what cookies and similar technologies are used on the site, and the choices you have. ConvertForever is operated by Bohzo Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom, which is the data controller for this website. The short version: our file tools run entirely in your browser and your files are never sent to us, while the website itself uses cookies for preferences, analytics, and advertising like most ad-supported sites.
By using convertforever.com you agree to the practices described here. If anything is unclear, contact us at hello@convertforever.com.
Your files: data we do not collect
All file-processing tools on ConvertForever, including the PDF converters, image tools, and audio tools, process your files locally on your own device using code that runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. We cannot see, access, or retain the documents, images, or audio you work with, because they never leave your device.
The same applies to what you type into calculators, text tools, and generators: the processing happens in your browser, and the content you enter is not transmitted to us.
Cookies and local storage
ConvertForever uses cookies and your browser's localStorage to remember preferences, such as your language, theme, and tool settings, so the site works the way you left it. These are functional; they do not contain your files or identify you personally.
You can clear or block cookies and localStorage at any time through your browser's settings. The tools will still work, though your preferences will no longer be remembered between visits.
Advertising
ConvertForever is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may process your IP address and browser information in accordance with Google's own privacy policies.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, and you can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies via aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use analytics services to understand aggregate site usage, such as which tools are popular, which pages load slowly, and which languages are most used, so we can improve the site. Analytics providers may set cookies and process your IP address and device information under their own privacy policies. This data is aggregated traffic measurement; it does not include your files or the content you enter into tools.
Separately, we keep our own simple counter of how often each tool is opened and used. It records nothing but the tool name, the interface language and the date — no IP address, no cookie, no identifier, and nothing about you or your files. These numbers exist only as daily totals (for example, “JPG to PDF was used 42 times today”), which is what tells us which tools are worth improving.
Your rights and choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; every major browser lets you refuse some or all cookies and clear stored data. You can opt out of personalised ads through the Google links above. And because our tools never receive your files in the first place, there is no file data held by us to request, correct, or delete.
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California, you may have additional rights over personal data processed by third parties such as advertising and analytics providers. Please refer to those providers' policies to exercise rights against them; for anything involving us directly, email us.
Children
ConvertForever's tools are general-purpose utilities suitable for all audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the site requires no accounts and collects no names, emails, or profiles from any user.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features or when advertising or analytics partners change. The current version is always published on this page. Meaningful changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually, since we hold no contact details for our users.
