Your files never leave your device

This is the single most important thing to know about ConvertForever: our file tools run entirely inside your web browser. When you convert a JPG to PDF, merge documents, compress an image, or run any other file tool here, the work is done by code executing on your own device.

There is no upload step. Your files are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us or anyone else, because they physically never leave your computer or phone. This is not a promise you have to take on trust; it is a direct result of how the tools are engineered.

Why this is safer than typical online converters

Most online converters upload your file to their servers, process it there, and send it back. That means your document, however sensitive, sits on a company's computers, at least temporarily. With ConvertForever there is nothing to upload, nothing to store, and nothing that could be exposed in a server breach, because the file was only ever on your device.

It also means the tools keep working even after your connection drops, and there are no server-imposed file-size limits — the only limit is your own device's memory.

Encryption and secure delivery

The entire ConvertForever website is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption), so the pages, tool code, and assets you load are protected in transit between our servers and your browser. Because your files themselves are processed locally and never sent anywhere, they are never in transit at all.

Tools that download a component

A few advanced tools need to download a component to your browser the first time you use them — for example the language data for the Image to Text (OCR) tool, or the AI model for the Background Remover. We tell you on the tool's page when this happens. Even then, only the component is downloaded to your device; your actual image or file still never leaves your browser.

What we do and don't collect

We do not collect, receive, or retain the files, images, or text you process with our tools. What we do handle is limited to ordinary website data — preferences stored on your device, aggregate analytics, and advertising cookies — which is described in full in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

The site requires no account and asks for no personal details to use any tool.
